Octagonal Dining Table

This table has a special place in Garry's working life. It was commissioned by a family who originated from Hampshire where the previous generation were personal friends of Edward Barnsley. Edward was a celebrated furniture maker who was a direct link between the Arts and Crafts movement and modern cabinet making. He had made the family a sideboard and Garry was invited to design and make a dining table to compliment it. The clients were delighted with the result which, despite its grand proportions, sits comfortably beside their classic Arts and Crafts piece.
